The self-proclaimed Sports Capital of Texas boasts top-of-the-line amenities, exciting activities and a welcoming population. It prides itself on being the premier destination for all sports, ranging from the amateur and youth levels to professional grades. The city has many elite facilities that suite any number of sporting events, and the city has hosted all sorts of tournaments: the Round Rock ISD Softball Tournament, which includes 22 teams from across the state; the Blue Diamond Tournaments that feature the Baseball “Spring Fling” and the Softball “March Madness;” and the 3 vs. 3 Live Winter Nationals Soccer tour.

One of the most popular places to play is Old Settlers Park, a 570-acre space that is capable of handling an event of any size. The facility is equipped with a professionally designed disc golf course, a field for cricket, a 20-field baseball complex, a five-field softball complex, five regulation-size and 12 half-size soccer fields, and 12 tennis courts. The park also features the Rockin’ River Family Aquatic Center, a leisure water park where teams can let lose after a long day of competition.

Another top Round Rock sports venue is Clay Madsen Recreation Center. This 55,000-square-foot facility houses two full-size gymnasiums, a six-lane, 25-yard lap pool, four racquetball courts, and a cardio and weight room. The building can easily accommodate large groups with any number of sports teams.

Round Rock’s ASA Center is the only inline hockey facility in Central Texas. The Round Rock ISD Athletic Complex, home to Round Rock high schools, is a stadium that accommodates football and soccer, seating 11,000 spectators.

For some exciting baseball action, check out the Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express Triple-A baseball team, an affiliate of the Houston Astros. This stadium is designed with the spectator in mind, giving fans an up-close and personal experience. The row behind the batter is closer to home plate than the pitcher’s mound. The seating capacity includes 8,722 fixed seats with room for 3,000 more on the grass berm past the outfield wall. The facility also has batting cages and team clubhouses.

The Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex is a great place to host a football game or tournament. Sports planners will love the spacious facility, well-kept field and quality amenities. The complex seats 11,000 people, with seats evenly split up between either side, making it a great spot for an intense rivalry match. It has plenty of concessions, parking and restrooms to keep both guests and teams happy.
