Planner Perspective

In 2015 MSE Racing had recently received approval to do something that had not yet been done – to bring an Olympic length triathlon to St. Louis County. This was a new and large endeavor, some people were doubtful that it was possible, but Visit Maryland Heights was supportive from the beginning.  Their enthusiastic nature and dedication to the community and entire region was something that we could continuously lean upon.  Without Visit Maryland Heights there would not be a St. Louis Triathlon and the unique culture that comes from it, nor the stories of people overcoming challenges to meet their goals, and for that we are eternally grateful. Karen Krispin and Laura Brahan with Visit Maryland Heights kindness and disposition is something that has affected me personally, my company’s positive outlook, the endurance community’s hopefulness for the future, and the pride we all feel in living here.  Karen and Laura are a compliment to Maryland Heights, a model for the mission of all CVB’s, and a gift to the community.

St. Louis Triathlon: Rich Adams (St. Louis Triathlon)

One of the things that keeps me coming back to Sportport is the fact that they treat my tournaments like their own. They’re always very accommodating and do whatever it takes to make sure the tournament is a success. Another huge plus is Sportport is located in Maryland Heights which is such a family-friendly and affordable area in St. Louis! There’s so much for our participants to do after games in Maryland Heights whether it’s hopping on a zip line, trying their skills at an Escape Game, or having a blast at Dave & Busters! And it’s just a short 15 minute drive to most everything St. Louis is known for!
