Quick Introduction

SoFi Stadium sits in Inglewood—just south of LAX and west of downtown Los Angeles—inside the Hollywood Park campus. For FIFA World Cup 26™, expect an “indoor-outdoor” experience: a fixed, translucent canopy with open sides that lets coastal light and evening breezes in, while the giant Infinity Screen keeps replays crisp from anywhere. The stadium will host the United States’ opener and a quarterfinal, so matchdays will feel big, loud, and global. Food is varied, entry is mobile-first, and the campus is built for crowds with clear wayfinding, rideshare zones, and frequent transit shuttles.

Stadium Overview

Walk up Kareem Court and SoFi’s ETFE canopy stretches overhead like a glowing sail. Inside, the bowl opens wide and the Infinity Screen hangs low enough to feel immersive without stealing your sightline; even from the corners, the picture and sound stay sharp. Concourse traffic splits sensibly on multiple levels, with frequent Guest Services posts and clear signage to seating bays.

Food options are spread throughout, so you’re rarely far from a stand—use cashless pay and keep moving. With the open-sided design, air circulates under the roof; on warm afternoons, it’s bright but not glaring, and after sunset, it cools quickly. Actionable tips: arrive early to enjoy the plazas and avoid queueing at security; bring an empty, non-metal water bottle (or one sealed 20-oz) to use at the hydration stations positioned across all levels. Cashless makes everything faster—load a card or mobile wallet in advance.

SoFi Stadium is an indoor-outdoor, covered venue in the City of Inglewood (Los Angeles metro). Standard capacity is approximately 70,000, expandable to up to 100,000 for major events. For World Cup play, the venue is hosting eight matches under the canopy; FIFA and the local host have confirmed Los Angeles dates, including the United States’ opener. Any event-specific seating or field modifications are managed by the operator in coordination with FIFA.

Multi-level seating bowls wrap a soccer-suitable field under a fixed, translucent canopy. The Infinity Screen by Samsung provides 360-degree replays and sound, supporting clear sightlines from most seats. Premium areas and clubs are extensive across the venue; wayfinding directs ticketed fans to specific entries for their level. Conditions tip: SoFi’s open sides allow airflow while the canopy cuts direct sun and occasional coastal mist—comfortable for afternoon kickoffs and cooler after dark.

  • Concessions & water: SoFi Stadium is a cashless facility. One (1) factory-sealed water bottle up to 20 oz per person is permitted; empty, clear, non-metal reusable bottles may be brought in and filled at hydration stations located across Levels 3/4/6/8 and VIP lobbies.
  • Merch & payments: Team Store and event retail operate on site; all purchases are cashless with major cards and mobile pay accepted.
  • Facilities: Family restrooms are available on every level. First Aid is staffed by EMTs; visit Guest Services for locations.
  • Accessibility: Wheelchair and companion seating on every level; Mobility Ambassadors provide wheelchair escorts from entries (not into parking lots). Elevators, accessible routes, and assistive listening devices are available. Two sensory rooms (Level 3 NE and Level 2 SW) and sensory kits can be requested at Guest Services.

Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″ are permitted. One-gallon clear plastic bags and small non-clear clutches up to 4.5″ x 6.5″ are allowed. Backpacks, large purses, diaper bags, briefcases, coolers, and luggage are prohibited. Bag valet (paid) is offered at designated locations for items that don’t meet policy; medical necessities and infant feeding items are permitted subject to additional screening and tagging. Policies may vary by event—always check the event’s “Know Before You Go.”

All items are subject to security screening; screening technology is in use at entries. Prohibited items include smoking/vaping devices—smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted on site. Re-entry is typically not allowed unless specified by the event organizer; follow event communications. Mobile tickets are required; printed barcodes are not valid at SoFi. For World Cup 26™, FIFA issues and manages digital tickets via its official ticketing/app ecosystem—access your ticket on your mobile device per FIFA’s instructions.

Review SoFi’s Guest Code of Conduct—respectful behavior is required and non-compliance may result in ejection. Gates and parking zones generally open 2–4 hours pre-event (check your pass and event emails). Even under the canopy, evenings can feel cooler with ocean air—bring a light layer. Flags/banners must meet posted size and material limits; no poles over the allowed size or items that block views. Keep your mobile ticket ready in the app and use cashless pay to speed purchases.

Parking Guide

On-site parking at SoFi Stadium is zoned (e.g., Hyundai Orange/Green/Purple, etc.) and must be purchased in advance via the stadium’s designated provider; event pricing varies by event. Parking zones typically open 2–4 hours before start time and close about one hour after the event—check your pass for exact hours and gate instructions. ADA parking is available in every zone on a first-come, first-served basis with valid placard and a valid parking pass; ADA drop-off/pick-up uses the Hyundai Orange Zone entrance—follow staff directions.

If you prefer to avoid on-site congestion, the City of Inglewood’s Park & Go program offers remote lots with shuttle service to the Intermodal Transit Facility next to the stadium—reserve in advance when available. Rideshare zones are signed and staffed on Kareem Court/Manchester after the event. As with entry, tickets and parking are mobile-only; cashless transactions are standard across the campus.
