Beaumont, Texas
From the versatility of Doggett Ford Park to the impressive size and scope of Beaumont Municipal Athletic Complex, when it comes to sports, fan-friendly Beaumont has you covered and so do their partners. Nestled on the Texas Gulf Coast, just 90 miles from Houston, Beaumont offers all the big-city comforts, but with the added coziness and accessibility of a small town and 3,700 hotel rooms within the area.
Away from the competition, there’s plenty to experience for the entire family. The Fire Museum of Texas features an extensive collection related to the history of fire departments in the Lone Star State. Housed in a historic fire station, objects on exhibit date back to the mid-1800s. Spindletop Boomtown Museum is a great site to step back in time to experience life on Spindletop Hill during the early 20th-century oil boom days.
Beaumont Children’s Museum focuses on learning through play, with exhibits carefully selected to promote S.T.E.A.M.-focused learning. There are many events throughout the year, so be sure to check the calendar to plan your visit. For fun in nature, Cattail Marsh at Tyrrell Park features 900-acres of wetlands, a new boardwalk and more than eight miles of gravel levee roads for hiking, biking, wildlife photography opportunities and more.
Get a Planner’s Perspective
Don’t just take our word for it, hear what these planners had to say.
“In Beaumont, we get more attention from the city, more media coverage from local television and radio stations, much smoother and simpler transportation for our participants. The Beaumont CVB staff always takes the initiative and are very proactive in assisting us in coordination of our events.”
