Cherry Park is Rock Hill’s flagship baseball and softball venue—a 68-acre park with scenic trails, a large playground, shelters and pedestrian amenities—while adjacent Hargett Park covers an additional 20 acres with complementary fields and amenities. In total, the two parks include nine lighted, fenced diamonds with hybrid Bermuda or natural grass outfields, electronic scoreboards, enclosed dugouts, press boxes, and seating for about 500 per field. In addition to the diamonds, there are a total of six multipurpose fields for soccer, football and more.
Cherry Park in particular features a 1.5-mile lighted and secure walking, biking and jogging trail, multiple picnic shelters, a covered shelter, playground areas, restrooms and concessions distributed throughout. It’s also the second sports venue in South Carolina to be inducted into the NSA (National Softball Association) Hall of Fame. Hargett Park adds a playground, additional picnic areas and a memorial courtyard.
