Gulf Shores Sportsplex
Sports Covered: Baseball, Softball, Football, Track, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Archery, Soccer
This multifaceted 100-acre sports complex offers sports recreation for youth and adults. The High School football stadium offers college-level lighting, concessions and restrooms. Additionally, an eight-lane polyurethane track surrounds the stadium for track and field events. A high jump area, baseball diamonds, and soccer and softball fields comprise the rest of the site.
Gulf Shores Public Beach
Sports Covered: Beach Volleyball, Swimming
If your group is looking for sports on the beach, head to Gulf Shores Public Beach. The beachfront is accessible via large mats with eight points of entry. For a modest fee, park all day and bring the cooler and beach chairs. Restrooms with rinse showers are conveniently located on-site, as well as open-air pavilions to share meals. Swim safely with lifeguards on duty from May through October. Or enjoy a rousing game of frisbee on the expansive “Town Green.”
Gulf State Park

Comprised of 6,150 acres and 28 miles of trails, Gulf State Park is a natural destination offering the gamut of outdoor recreation. Explore the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, voted the best recreation trail for 2023. Take a Segway tour for a leisurely sightseeing adventure if you aren’t into hiking or biking. Lake Shelby inside the park provides aquatic avocations, including freshwater fishing, kayaking, boating and swimming. Additionally, groups can dine at the on-site Woodside Restaurant after exploring the Interpretive Center and the Nature Center.
Orange Beach Sportsplex
Sports Covered: Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Sand Volleyball, Football (touch & tag)
The Orange Beach Sportsplex offers guests opportunities for softball, baseball and soccer, as well as touch and flag football. Also provided is a 3-court sand volleyball area with a concession stand. Fans can watch games comfortably in the 1,500-seat Orange Beach Championship Stadium complete with a press box, locker rooms and concessions. The facility is a popular venue for adult sports activities and tournaments. In fact, the 2007 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Soccer Tournament was hosted here.
Orange Beach Event Center at The Wharf

The 18,000-square-foot Orange Beach Event Center at The Wharf hosts a myriad of events annually. A premier meeting space, the center hosts concerts, conventions, weddings, trade shows, and, of course, sporting events. Some of the many features of the space include an A/V system, enhanced lighting, an event kitchen and in-wall projection screens. The event center can accommodate up to 2,500 people and offers a variety of equipment for rent.
