Council Bluffs sports facility, Iowa West Sports Plex, announces partnership with Level 10 Performance
The Iowa West Sports Plex, an $8.5 million indoor turf facility in Council Bluffs, Iowa, recently opened and is already off and running.
The 75,000-square-foot sports plex features artificial turf the size of a regulation youth soccer field with the ability to be separated into multiple smaller fields. The fields can be used for youth baseball, softball, flag football, lacrosse and other sports in addition to soccer as well as for adult leagues in multiple sports. The upstairs features additional seating, and a comfortable viewing area for parents and families.
The facility will be operated and managed by the Council Bluffs Soccer Club, led by Executive Director Arian Haddix. A Council Bluffs native, Haddix brings with her 11-plus years of nonprofit management experience, as well as experience as a former collegiate soccer player for Bellevue University.
Partnership with Level 10 Performance
Not wasting any time, the Council Bluffs Soccer Club announced a partnership with Level 10 Performance, owned and operated by Judd Hawkins, to provide speed and agility training and personalized athletic performance programming in the new sports plex.
“We are so excited that Judd will be operating Level 10 Performance in the Iowa West Sports Plex,” said Haddix. “The opportunity to provide additional programming of this level for local athletes is a perfect fit for the facility and our organization. His knowledge and professionalism will be a huge asset for our members and we look forward to our partnership to provide programming to area athletes.
“The Iowa West Foundation and the Council Bluffs Soccer Club have teamed up to create an amazing opportunity for our youth sports community, and I am beyond ecstatic to be joining this venture, and to bring my passion for helping young athletes,” Hawkins said. “Level 10 has had the privilege of working with over a thousand athletes in the Southwest Iowa area over the last three years, and expanding into an amazing new facility will help Level 10 continue to grow the number of athletes we can reach.”
Hawkins, a southwest Iowa native, returned to the Council Bluffs community with his family in 2016. His business, Level 10 Performance, specializes in training athletes who have a passion for gaining a competitive advantage through improvements in speed, acceleration, body control and power development. His sessions with individuals, small groups and teams provide tailored plans for athletes at all stages of development.
