There’s something for everyone in McCracken County, Kentucky, with one of the country’s best upcoming sports facilities on the horizon for a 2025 grand opening that will be in the City of Paducah.
Families will enjoy plenty of art displays, starting with Paducah’s Wall-to-Wall Floodwall Murals, depicting the city’s history on its protective floodwall through over 60 larger-than-life art pieces. The National Quilt Museum displays quilts from around the world highlighting artistry in the fiber arts.
Paducah’s Historic Downtown Shopping District is full of locally owned shops and boutiques for every taste and unique nearby restaurants round out a day of exploring. Hotel Metropolitan is a hotel-turned-museum, showcasing Paducah’s African American heritage. The hotel was once listed in the Green Book and served beloved artists like Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington

Paducah Sports Park

McCracken County Sports Tourism Commission is building a 105-acre sports recreation complex in Paducah, Kentucky. Set to open in 2025, Paducah Sports Park is expected to feature five meticulously crafted high school baseball diamonds, 20 versatile youth/fast-pitch diamonds and 10 multipurpose fields, all of which will cater to players and teams of all ages and skill levels. The facility will be located on the site of the former Bluegrass Downs and Stuart Nelson Park along Greenway Trail.
