WESTFIELD, IN – The Jonathan Byrd’s Fieldhouse at Grand Park was recently announced as the host location for the second session of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) Event taking place April 22-24, 2016.
“Since the thought of this Fieldhouse began, I wanted to bring a Nike EYBL to Westfield, Indiana,” said Rod Sinn, President of Operations at Jonathan Byrd’s Fieldhouse. “I am more than proud to say the Jonathan Byrd’s Fieldhouse is the only facility to host this prestigious Nike event.”
Over 300 NCAA Division I coaches are expected to attend from the top college basketball programs across the country. The event will feature 40 of Nike’s top EYBL teams and showcase some of the nation’s best high school basketball athletes. This is the first time in history this event will take place in the state of Indiana.
“High profile events like this Nike EYBL event play an important role in establishing Grand Park and Westfield as a top sports destination,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook.
