The Pro Aerial League will return to Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington on Saturday, March 17, 2018, for the third race of its 2017-2018 inaugural season.

The Pro Aerial League is the fastest growing professional drone racing league in the United States and has recently been recognized by the International Drone Racing Association as its “Startup of the Year.” The Pro Aerial League is also the first drone racing organization to be promoted by Facebook’s Sports on Facebook channel.

The Pro Aerial League has created an entirely new and spectator friendly racing format. Pro Aerial League races consist of four 20-minute periods of team racing and includes team runners on the course dodging drones that fly at speeds over 60 mph while trying to keep their teams in the air and completing laps.

Pro Aerial League pilots are some of the best in the United States and the world, including former Drone Racing League (DRL) pilots and one team member that placed first in the global Swatch/DRL flight simulator qualifying tournament.

“Our live events include fun and engaging family focused entertainment activities that both entertain and educate,” said Scott Whiteker, Pro Aerial League CEO. “With all of the media coverage about drones and the projected future growth, we are excited to partner with the local government organizations like Snohomish County to showcase the proper way to fly and how to have the most fun possible.”

“Drone racing is one of the emerging sports that is becoming popular for the youth and old to experience flying the drones,” said Tammy Dunn, Snohomish County Sports Commission sports development director. “We are excited to partner with Pro Aerial League in bringing drone racing to Snohomish County.”

One of our core beliefs is that local drone and STEM programs that want to participate in our events can do so at no cost to them.

The Pro Aerial league also provides the opportunity for more people to learn how to fly a drone in our drone zone, fly Pro Aerial League race courses on the Liftoff flight simulator, go on pilot ride a longs in the Fat Shark Fan Zone, and engage with other family friendly activities courtesy of Virtual Sports in Tukwila, Washington.
