Rock Hill, SC: A Powerhouse for Sports Tourism
Recently Hosted and Upcoming EventsÂ
Rock Hill, South Carolina, has become a go-to destination for elite youth, amateur, and collegial competition thanks to facilities like the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center. In June 2025, it hosted the NBPA Top 100 Camp, bringing together some of the nation’s top high school basketball talent for skill development, recruiting exposure and mentorship. In July the same year, the city welcomed the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championships, drawing dozens of AAU circuits and elite 15U–17U squads to compete in a national showcase. Looking ahead, Rock Hill Parks & Rec is positioning itself to host additional high-profile events across multiple sports, including youth basketball camps, regional qualifiers and intercollegiate championships for sports like rugby.Â

Rock Hill Parks and Rec invite visitors to step into verdant escapes woven throughout the city’s fabric. Glencairn Gardens, an award-winning 11-acre public garden, delights with tiered fountains, ponds, boardwalks, a Veterans Garden and winding walkways lined with azaleas, camellias, wisteria, dogwoods and more. The gardens are especially breathtaking during peak bloom from late March through mid-April. For those seeking waterfront views and trail systems, the Piedmont Medical Center Trail / Riverwalk and River Park trace the Catawba River with scenic paths, boardwalks, and river access for kayaking or floating excursions.Â
