Rocky Top Sports World, managed by The Sports Facilities Management, has been granted an impressive honor.

The complex located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, was recently awarded hosting privileges for the 2019 and 2020 5th Grade Girls Basketball National Championships by the Amateur Athletic Union of the United States.

“The National Tournament Selection Committee recognizes that Rocky Top Sports World is one of the premier venues in the country for youth events,” said General Manager Lori Moore. “Gatlinburg serves as an ideal host city and we look forward to working in collaboration with the AAU for the next two years of the 5th grade circuit.”

Rocky Top Sports World will also be hosting the 2018 5th Grade Girls Nationals July 10th – 15th in the 86,000 square foot indoor facility.

“Being granted the honor to host one National tournament was incredible, but now we are fortunate enough to host three consecutive years,” said Marketing Manager Haley Fugate.

Tournament dates for the 2019 and 2020 events are still to be determined. Updates will be available through the venue and AAU media outlets.
