Shores & Islands, Ohio
The success of hosting the NHL Outdoors, followed by bringing in an expansion ECHL team and continuing to expand its sports infrastructure for a wide range of tournaments and events has solidified Lake Tahoe as a premier sporting destination. Key more recent additions include Tahoe Blue Event Center in 2023, home to Knight Monsters ice hockey, and South Lake Tahoe Recreation & Aquatics Center.
Along with sports and events to enjoy year-round, Lake Tahoe has incredible views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range and plentiful nature to explore. Visitors can soar high above the treetops on the Heavenly Gondola, where panoramic views stretch across two states, or glide over sapphire waters with Lake Tahoe Boat Tours, discovering hidden coves and postcard-perfect shorelines along the way.
Between competitions, teams and families find plenty to enjoy off the field. The bustling Heavenly Village offers boutique shopping, cozy cafés and après-ski energy that lasts long after sunset, while Lake Tahoe’s beaches provide the perfect unwind with golden sand and cool breezes that make every tournament weekend feel like a getaway.
Get a Planner’s Perspective
Don’t just take our word for it, hear what these planners had to say.
“Shores & Islands Ohio has been instrumental in the development and success of the Santa Hustle race series. From its inception in Sandusky years ago, the CVB has worked with us step- by-step to help our event flourish. We could not have had such quick and overwhelming success without their support and professionalism; they are truly an example of the kind of CVB that makes it happen!”
