The Huether Family Match Pointe tennis facility features 6 Championship indoor courts, with a 40-foot ceiling height. Match Pointe offers lessons and leagues for kids ages 4-18 as well as adults of all ability levels. More than 15 tournaments a year are held at the facility including an ATP Challenger Tour professional men’s tournament. Interested in pickleball? Located on the campus of Augustana University, Midco Arena is the home of Augustana Viking hockey. The venue gives the Vikings the newest arena in collegiate hockey while competing at the NCAA Division I level.

The arena has seating for over 3,000 featuring JJ’s Viking Club. In addition, drink rails are located throughout the concourse while overlooking the rink, broken up only by the 12 suites at concourse level.

The 155,000 square foot facility encompasses Augustana athletics GreatLIFE strength and conditioning center, home locker room and lounges for Viking hockey and women’s soccer, and four general use locker rooms. In addition, Augustana athletics administration is housed in Midco Arena along with the SKOL Shop, a place to purchase all your Augustana team gear on gameday.

Yankton Trail Park marks the location where early settlers crossed the Big Sioux River on the trail to Yankton, which was then the Dakota Territory capital. Today the park is the site of invitational, regional and state soccer tournaments, and is home to the Manfred Szameit Soccer Complex, approximately 21 soccer fields (six lighted fields) and great access to the bike trail.

The Sanford Sports Complex sits on 500-acres and can accommodate basketball, volleyball, baseball, wrestling, softball, hockey, tennis, football, soccer, lacrosse, and gymnastics, and more. The Sanford Sports Complex is comprised of a multitude of facilities including the Sanford Pentagon (9 total courts, including one court that can seat 3,250 people), the Sanford Fieldhouse (62,000 sq feet of turf field), Sanford Diamonds (5 turf fields for baseball and 5 turf fields for softball), Sanford Crossing (8 multipurpose turf fields), SCHEELS IcePlex (building with three sheets of ice), and Huether Family Match Pointe (10 indoor tennis courts) to name a few. Two hotels are located at the Sanford Sports Complex (Fairfield Inn & Suites and Comfort Inn & Suites). The Sanford Pentagon hosts NCAA DI basketball games each year for Power 5 teams from around the country. The Pentagon also once hosted the NCAA DII Men’s Basketball National Championship.

Harmodon Park is a 15-field facility for youth and adult baseball and softball players. Amenities include five batting cages, picnic shelters, a playground, bleachers, concessions, a pitching machine, scoreboards, locker rooms, ample free parking and restrooms. All fields are fenced in to allow multiple games to be played simultaneously.

Sherman Park comprises 205 acres with nine agri-limed and lighted softball diamonds. It’s also home to the South Dakota Softball Hall of Fame. The park also includes a children’s play area, open green space, a wedding gazebo, and winter ice skating and hockey games.

The Midco Aquatic Center is the ultimate playground for swimmers and water play. Located in Spellerberg Park, Midco boasts three pools, locker and changing rooms, concessions and meeting/party rooms. Open year-round, the indoor water park and sports center offers a 50-meter Olympic size pool equipped with two bulkheads allowing multiple activities to occur at once. Enjoy a leisurely swim in the Recreational Pool or Warm Water Pool. The unique Current Channel challenges and trains swimmers while water slides, lily pad crossings and splash pads entertain younger wave makers.
