Goebel Sports Park is a multi-purpose sports facility designed to serve local and regional tournaments and the community at large. This 10-field soccer and lacrosse facility recently underwent a 2.3-million-dollar facelift. Two of the fields feature high-quality synthetic turf for all-weather play, with six fields offering championship-level Bermuda grass and two cool-season grass fields. Under Explore Evansville’s management, Goebel Sports Park is once again hosting soccer, lacrosse, and other events that attract teams and families from around the Midwest.
The park features two Olympic-size fields with synthetic turf to support playing in all-weather conditions. In addition, there are six Olympic-size irrigated Bermuda grass fields, two Olympic-size irrigated cool-season grass fields, and nine lighted fields. The park has become a premier destination for soccer and lacrosse in the tri-state area and recently underwent 2.3 million-dollar renovations on 70 acres of land adjacent to Deaconess Sports Park.
