Since 1949, the Evergreen State Fair Park, a 193-acre park at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. The Fairgrounds have several permanent facilities that are used year-round for horse shows, trade shows, swap meets, auto races and other events. Facilities include the Gary D. Weikel Events Center (36,000-square-foot multipurpose building with 16-foot doors and 6-foot man doors), Evergreen Speedway (a 7,500 covered seating grandstand, home to the only NASCAR venue in Washington state), a clear-span sporting arena that can seat 4,000 eventgoers, two RV areas with dump stations and a variety of other permanent exhibition facilities.
