World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) offers a variety of state-of-the-art facilities, unbeatable lodging and a range of dining options, making it the perfect location for your next sporting event.
WEC is home to two exposition centers and several climate-controlled indoor arenas with more than 300,000 square feet of flexible indoor space, as well as outdoor venues. WEC is an all-in-one sports and recreation facility equipped with 13 on-site restaurants, Calluna Spa and multiple retailers, as well as a variety of accommodations including two hotels: The Equestrian, a 248-room luxury hotel; The Riding Academy, offering guests 390 spacious studios and suites, as well as a 280-slip RV park, and more than 90 two-bedroom and three bedroom rental units.
WEC aims to continue enhancing the experience for athletes, visitors and guests frequenting the over 2,000-acre campus with property development. Recent expansion included the opening of The Equestrian Manor, offering state-of-the-art meeting space and adding four additional restaurants to the property’s roster. Coming soon, The Shoppes Off 80th outdoor shopping venue will bring 28 new storefronts to the property. Additional on-site amenities include the University of Florida Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine walk-in clinic and on-site pharmacy. A world-class facility, World Equestrian Center – Ocala can accommodate events of all sizes and requirements.
RECREATION
Since the 1870s, Silver Springs State Park has been famous for its crystal-clear Silver River and surrounding forest. Visitors can take a glass-bottom boat tour of the river, walk the park’s gardens, hike, visit the museum or eat at one of the park’s restaurants. Just a short drive away, Rainbow Springs State Park offers swimming and paddling in pristine spring waters, while the nearby Santos Trails provide miles of world-class hiking and mountain biking.

World Equestrian Center: A Powerhouse for Sports Tourism
Recently Hosted and Upcoming Events
A very popular event at the World Equestrian Center is The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup that occurs annually. This event will take place in mid-February of 2026 and invites Olympic-level horse riders to compete. The venue is extremely accommodating for their athletes and horses, with an optional feed and bedding list that can be filled out ahead of the race. Golf carts are also available to rent for this event to make sure transportation runs smoothly.
Outdoors Are the Way to Go
The World Cup event is only one of the many outdoor equestrian events that this venue holds They have many categories, Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, Western, Barrel Races, Vaulting, and All-Around Competition with listed dates and many different divisions depending on the competitive category.
