Charles City Whitewater holds the distinction of being Iowa’s first-ever whitewater park. With multiple river flows and skill levels and open year-round, kayakers, stand-up paddle boarders, tubers, fishermen and all river enthusiasts will enjoy this park on the Cedar River in the heart of downtown Charles City. Tube and canoe rentals are available via the Chamber of Commerce. The adjacent Riverfront Park provides a stone amphitheater, naturalized play area, picnic shelters, a trail and more.
