Among these notable occasions are the AAU Junior Olympic Games, LPGA Solheim Cup, NCAA DI Men’s Basketball, NAIA Championships, USA Wrestling Olympic Trials, USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals, USATF Outdoor Championships, USA Volleyball, USA Gymnastics, and many more. Iowa has also garnered national acclaim for hosting MLB at the iconic Field of Dreams in Dyersville and the thrilling Dew Tour at Lauridsen Skatepark in Des Moines.

Team Iowa, an integral division of Iowa Travel Industry Partners (iTIP), represents the sole statewide organization in Iowa with an exclusive focus on the sports travel market. Our mission is to attract youth, amateur, and professional sporting events to Iowa, a state where sports tradition and culture are deeply embedded, rendering it an ideal destination for your upcoming event. Our iTIP membership encompasses a consortium of over 100 partners including Iowa sports commissions, convention and visitors bureaus, venues, and lodging partners spread across the state, offering event planners a plethora of hosting options to select from.
