Located in Hammond, Indiana, just a short drive southeast of Chicago, Hammond Sportsplex is a state-of-the-art facility with a big reputation for tournaments and events. The facility currently has 10 full-size courts for basketball, which can be converted into 20 cross-court volleyball courts. In addition, outdoor sand volleyball courts utilizing authentic Aruban sand are located at the back of the facility.
With its $10-million expansion well underway, the indoor turf soccer fields are currently being relocated and are under construction, slated to debut in 2026. In the meantime, the original area for those fields has added multiple pickleball courts to bolster the region’s fast-growing pickleball interests. This area also has an additional elevated track to accompany the existing quarter-mile track above the basketball courts.
Other features at Hammond Sportsplex include six indoor batting cages, golf simulator at the aptly named Swinger’s Club bar and lounge, concessions, hospitality room and expanded locker rooms.
