Located along historic Route 66, the Illinois State Fairgrounds is home to one of the nation’s most storied motorsports venues—the one-mile Springfield Mile dirt track, renowned for the ARCA Menards Series and motorcycle racing events. The Grandstand accommodates nearly 9,000 spectators, providing an unmatched view of high-speed action.
Beyond motorsports, the Fairgrounds host a wide variety of equestrian and agricultural events each year. The recently renovated Coliseum features a 27,956-square-foot arena with 2,688 permanent seats, while the expansive 261,000-square-foot Multi-Purpose Arena offers seating for 4,688 spectators and a 3,000-seat amphitheater. With eight gate entrances, ADA accessibility, concessions and scenic landscaping, the Fairgrounds provide flexible outdoor and indoor spaces capable of accommodating large-scale competitions and exhibitions.
