Planner Perspective

Branson is one of the latest additions to the Divas® Half Marathon & 5K Series. As an event director I understand that a successful event is a result of great collaboration between the city, its departments, the CVB, the venues as well as the event company. Branson has been able to work this out seamlessly. From day one, Branson let us know that we were an important event to the city and has been working its best ever since. As a large participant sporting event in the region, this would not have been attainable without the resounding support from the city and the community. From the beginning the CVB let us know we were one of their sports ‘crown jewels’ and we have felt it all along.

B.A.S.S. has been fortunate enough to hold many national professional bass fishing events in Branson.   Premium lodging, diverse eateries, outdoor recreation, and family entertainment abound in the region. All these offerings, coupled with the opportunity to work with the dedicated community organizers from Branson, have delivered outstanding events and an extremely satisfying experience to our competitors and fans alike.

Youth Baseball Network (YBN) strives to become the new online home of Youth Baseball.  Its annual YBN National Championship tournament is positioned to be the preeminent baseball tournament in the country, as it showcases the 12U National Champions of several major youth baseball organizations. Therefore, it was important to find the ideal host city to support our efforts and meet the needs of the youth baseball family demographics.  Branson is that city.

Our inaugural YBN National Championship was held in Branson in August and was a major success. Much of that success was due to the support and hospitality shown by the city, CVB, and people of Branson.  The family atmosphere and numerous family venues makes Branson the perfect host city to help Youth Baseball Network meet its objectives.

In addition, to conduct a week-long event in a city takes the collaboration of multiple city departments and CVB personnel, and Branson performed seamlessly and professionally.

Youth Baseball Network looks forward to working with Branson, annually, to develop it into the new capital of Youth Baseball.
