The young—and young-at-heart—will revel in the many fun attractions in Frisco. Buckle up and drive at Pole Position Raceway, an indoor go-kart facility that offers a number of racing formats. Sports teams can spend a whole day at Main Event, a 65,000-square-foot entertainment zone with pool tables, 28 lanes of bowling, two-story laser tag, two-story gravity ropes course and hundreds of video games. If your tournament takes place in the summer, check out Frisco Athletic Center Water Park, complete with a lazy river, lagoon pool, two water slides and more.

For something fun and educational, head to the Sci-Tech Discovery Center. This offers hands-on experiences that get kids excited about science, math and technology. The Heritage Museum is a monument to the history of Frisco and features interactive exhibits that tell the story of the city’s past.

Venues

Dr Pepper Arena

Sports: Hockey, basketball, volleyball, arena football, tennis, gymnastics

This multipurpose arena is the home practice facility for the Dallas Stars NHL team, and the home of Texas Legends of the NBA Development League and the Texas Tornado hockey team. The arena features two NHL-sized sheets of ice and can hold over 6,000 spectators. It offers a wide range of concessions onsite, as well as 12 luxury suites and a private club. There are two 1,000-space parking garages adjacent to the arena.

Dr Pepper Ballpark

Sports: Baseball, softball

Opened in 2003, Dr Pepper Ballpark is home to the Frisco RoughRiders minor league team. It has been voted one of the top ballparks in the U.S. and praised for its village-like design. It has a seating capacity of 10,000, and the outfield grass offers even more spectator space. The ballpark features 27 suites and two party decks, as well as an on-site restaurant, which has seating for 200 people banquet-style or up to 300 people for receptions. The ballpark also features 3,000 parking spaces for tournament attendees.

Toyota Stadium

Sports: Soccer, football

When the stadium was built in 2005, it was truly innovative. Today, the 145-acre complex is still revered by soccer and sports enthusiasts. The venue includes a world-class stadium that is home to FC Dallas of Major League Soccer and seats over 21,000 spectators. Adjacent to the stadium are 17 lighted, regulation-size, tournament-grade soccer fields, several of which are turf. One field provides seating for around 600 people, and there is ample parking surrounding the complex. The main stadium features concessions onsite, 24 luxury suites and state-of-the-art broadcasting technology.

Fieldhouse USA

Sports: All

A multi-purpose, 144,000-square-foot, event- and league-based facility, the Fieldhouse is available for use by club and recreational leagues across the country. It is composed of 12 full-size, hardwood basketball and volleyball courts that can be reconfigured to accommodate a variety of sports, as well as indoor soccer and football turf. Each court features bleachers that can hold 300 people, but can be adjusted for larger tournaments. The venue also includes a 5,000-square-foot food court, large-screen TVs and a 10,000-square-foot athletic training facility.

Warren Sports Complex

Sports: Soccer, football, baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, volleyball

Warren Sports Complex

A large, multipurpose sports venue, this complex houses seven lighted football and soccer fields, four baseball and softball fields, two lighted basketball courts, two lighted tennis courts and two sand volleyball courts. The complex includes two concession areas and paved parking for over 600 cars.

Frisco Superdome

Sports: Cycling

A paradise for cyclists, the Superdome is one of the fastest, low-altitude outdoor velodromes in the world. It has played host to a number of local and national events, including the U.S. National Cycling Championships. The 5,842-square-foot complex features a 250-meter wooden surface, concessions, restrooms and can seat over 1,000 fans.

Frisco Conference Center

Sports: All Sports

The 90,000-square-foot conference center is a versatile facility that can accommodate a wide range of sports events in Frisco. The venue has played host to a number of regional and national tournaments. Sports planners can reconfigure the space to fit their needs, and the center can seat upwards of 3,000 people, depending on the event. There are concessions and restrooms onsite, plus plenty of parking at the attached hotel.

Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters & Training Facility

Sports: Football, Soccer

This 91-acre multi-purpose venue, dubbed The Star, is slated to open in 2016, and will be the new headquarters and training facility for the Dallas Cowboys NFL team. It will include a 12,000-seat event center, an upscale hotel, and indoor and outdoor practice fields.

How do we get to Frisco?

Part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Frisco is well situated in the central part of Texas and offers sports teams a true taste of Texas culture, history and pride. With two major airports only a few miles away, it’s super easy to get there.

By Car: Frisco is conveniently located just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas, and within a few hours’ drive of Oklahoma City, Houston, Austin and many other major cities. It is accessible by US 380, the Dallas North Tollway, Sam Rayburn Tollway and SH 289.

By Air: Frisco is 25 minutes from both DFW International and Love Field airports, which host all major airlines, making it easily accessible to sports teams from across the country.
