The Star Center | Spartanburg, South Carolina
The Star Center is one of the largest youth sports complexes in the Southeast. The facility sits on a 60-acre campus and offers approximately 120,000 square feet of indoor athletic spaces. Basketball and volleyball are the center’s marquee sports, featuring six full-size basketball courts and 12 regulation volleyball courts, allowing multiple tournaments and events to take place simultaneously. Named after former NBA player and Starkville native Travis Outlaw Center serves as both a recreation center and an indoor sports facility. The center features two indoor basketball courts, a racquetball court and a 1.3-mile indoor walking track. Fitness and aerobics spaces, conference rooms and community meeting areas provide additional opportunities for recreation and programming. Since opening in 2020, the AdventHealth Fieldhouse & Conference Center has quickly become one of Central Florida’s premier indoor sporting venues. The state-of-the-art facility was designed to host regional and national sporting events while also serving as a convention and community gathering space. The centerpiece of the complex is a 58,400 square-foot multi-use gymnasium that can be configured into six basketball courts or 12 volleyball courts.
An upper-level observation deck overlooks the playing surface, allowing spectators to follow multiple games and tournaments simultaneously.
