Members of the Laredo, Texas Pony league announced plans for another record setting youth baseball tournament in the gateway city. League president Richard Rosas spoke to the county about plans for a summer youth baseball and softball tournament in Laredo.

The tournament is set to take place from June 24th to July 10th. In the tournament last summer, 88 teams played with many of them coming from other cities across the state of Texas. Rosas says this season they plan on having 180 teams playing games in the gateway city. He says the experience of visiting teams last year will help bring more good publicity to town.
