When it comes to diversity and versatility, the Iowa Events Center is tough to beat. Along with the Community Choice Convention Center (CCCC), Iowa Events Center includes Hy-Vee Hall and Wells Fargo Arena. With a 17,000-seat capacity, Wells Fargo Arena is home to the AHL’s Iowa Wild, NBA G League’s Iowa Wolves and IFL’s Iowa Barnstormers. CCCC and Hy-Vee Hall offer a combined 236,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, including in-house catering, an attached Hilton Hotel and 1,900 total rooms within a mile.

MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex houses a 150,000-square-foot fieldhouse that features 11 full-size basketball courts, or 29 volleyball courts, and a full-size indoor turf soccer field that can be utilized for multiple sports. There are also two indoor ice arenas with seating capacities of 2,400 and 300 respectively, three full-size outdoor turf fields and a 3,500-square-foot esports center with 30 state-of-the-art PCs. Amenities include on-site concessions, outdoor bike paths and plenty more.

Drake Stadium includes the infamous Blue Oval track and field facility as well as one full-size soccer field. Home to Drake Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, the on-campus Knapp Center seats 6,424 and puts the fans right on the court. Knapp Center provides 112,000 square feet on two levels, including five courts for basketball that can also be extended for volleyball and badminton, as well as four racquetball and handball courts. The center also has a 5,800-square-foot strength training area.
Famous for its museums, outdoor recreation and sports venues, Cedar Falls is a small college city with much to experience away from the heat of the on-field and on-court competitions.

Located on the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) campus, UNI-Dome features 80,000 square feet of AstroTurf and hard floor space and more than 16,000 permanent seats. UNI-Dome is the current home of the UNI Panthers football team, but with its 18 courts for volleyball, which can also allow for up to 30 mats for wrestling, and a convertible turf for track and field, the venue is perfect for multiple types of indoor sporting events. UNI-Dome also has multiple concession stands and ample parking.

The University of Northern Iowa (UNI)’s Wellness and Recreation Center features 10 full-size basketball courts that can be converted for volleyball and other indoor sports, making it ideal for large youth sports tournaments and competitions. Along with its courts, the center features an eight-lane, 25-meter competition pool with 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards for swim meets, diving competitions and more.

Located just ten minutes away from downtown Cedar Falls and close to multiple hotels, FIT Courts is an ideal venue for indoor sports tournaments and events. FIT features over 14,000 square feet of space, with three college-size basketball courts, or up to six volleyball courts, which can also be utilized for a multitude of hardcourt sports like indoor soccer. On-site concessions are available.
Located in Southwest Iowa, and part of the Omaha metropolitan region, Council Bluffs will not only bring you in for sports tournaments and events but also charm you with its history and beautiful sites.

The Council Bluffs Recreation Complex offers multiple fields for bat-and-ball sports, including four for softball, four for baseball and two for youth fast-pitch. The complex also has 10 full-size soccer fields and four full-size football fields, all of which can be utilized for several different sports. There are two full-service concession areas, a tournament conference room for planning, a large playground and a paved bike trail that is connected to the city’s trail system.

Iowa West Field House houses 100,000 square feet, with 12 regulation-size volleyball courts or eight high school-size basketball courts. The space is versatile to hold a variety of different sporting events as well, including gymnastics, cornhole and boccia. Within the same building, but with a separate entrance, is Iowa West Pickleball which features six pickleball courts.

This 75,000-square-foot indoor turf facility can accommodate a wide variety of sporting events, with its regulation-size turf field able to be separated into multiple smaller field configurations. Iowa West Sports Plex’s upstairs mezzanine area has bleachers as well as bench seating with a bird’s eye view of the action and cafe tables for parents to sit and work. The facility also features a concession stand for convenience in one place.

Located a short distance from the Missouri River, Tyson Events Center is the prime hub for large sporting events, concerts and competitions in Sioux City, Iowa. The 190,000 square feet dedicated to this venue allows for U-shaped seating, with a 10,000-seat capacity and 28 luxury suites. This center hosts around 140 events annually, including the NAIA Women’s Division II Basketball National Championship and the NAIA Volleyball Championship. The Siouxland Sports Academy is a staple for youth athletic events in Sioux City, Iowa. Located in Waterloo, Iowa, Cedar Valley Soccer Complex includes 11 full-size competition fields as well as four practice fields. Cedar Valey Soccer Complex also includes permanent restrooms, concession and more than 600 parking spots.

Located in the heart of downtown Waterloo, Cedar Valley Sportsplex features two full-size basketball courts that can be converted into four for volleyball. The Sportsplex also features a nearly 30,000-square-foot fieldhouse with artificial turf for indoor football and soccer, along with two pools. Along with facilities for sports tournaments, the Sportsplex also has fitness and wellness services like massage therapy, personal training and more.

Also located in downtown Waterloo is Young Arena, home to the USHL’s Waterloo Blackhawks, which features one Olympic-size ice rink with 3,500 permanent seats. In addition to hockey, Young Arena has proven to be a fantastic wrestling venue. The arena utilizes an insulated ice cover and has floor space to accommodate eight 42′ x 42′ mats, perfect for youth wrestling tournaments.
Named after nearby Clear Lake, the City of Clear Lake, Iowa has a mighty sports community that ranges from perfect sailing conditions and fishing to basketball and pickleball at premier facilities.

Opened in January 2022, Clear Lake Athletics & Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art facility featuring 81,000 square feet of indoor space. Outdoor facilities include six lighted tennis as well as six brand-new lighted pickleball courts. Amenities include locker rooms with saunas, four studios, an indoor playground and a fitness floor with a suspended track.

Clear Lake’s community takes great pride in school athletics with the Lions team name at the forefront. Lion Field Athletic Complex in particular features an artificial turf field suitable for football and soccer, a new track surface, grandstand and press box. The soccer facility features a seating capacity of 1,500, a surrounding BSS 2000 Hobart Texture Track Surface, four long jump/triple jump runways, two pole vault areas and 152,000 square feet or 3.5 acres of throw space. With its modern amenities, including locker rooms, press boxes and concessions, this facility offers a comprehensive experience for athletes and spectators alike.

Lied Recreation Center is a large indoor sports facility, featuring 20 basketball courts that can be converted into eight racquetball or badminton courts. It’s worth noting that one basketball court can typically be converted into two volleyball courts, potentially allowing for up to 40 volleyball courts if desired. The facility’s proximity to Iowa State University provides additional benefits for attendees, such as convenient dining and accommodation options for athletes and spectators, along with its lively campus atmosphere.

There is also a fitness area that spans over three levels with over 200 pieces of equipment.

Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex (HTRC) houses 12 outdoor tennis courts, along with eight indoor courts that can be utilized for additional sports like pickleball. The outdoor Klotz Tennis courts are named after former University of Iowa Men’s Tennis Coach, Don Klotz.

Home to multiple swimming and diving championships, Linda Bloom Natatorium is a premier venue for water sports in the Midwest. With a capacity of 2,200, the natatorium features eight 7-foot lap lanes that are lined with 6-inch lane ropes, knocking down reverberation to maximize swimming splits. Two 1-meter Duraflex Maxiflex B springboards are perfect for diving events. Multiple video boards ensure spectators never miss a second of the action. Two gaming arenas are located within The Orpheum Theater Esports Arena, boasting a capacity of 40 computers and up to 300 spectators. Spectator viewing screens vary in each arena, with 40′ x 30′ in Black Box Arena and 35′ x 25′ in Theater Arena. Four shoutcasting studios allow for multiple commentary teams to set up, and dedicated production space make streaming live events easier. This facility is a partnership between the City of Sioux Center and Dordt University, hosting year-round tournaments and events.

This award-winning athletic complex includes 80 acres of public recreational facilities, including the Iowa Baseball Field of the Year in 2017 and National Softball Field of the Year in 2019. Amenities include two concession stands and on-site parking for 600 vehicles. Open Space Park is an STMA-Certified Facility for Environmentally Responsible Management.

This facility features an ice arena with an NHL-sized ice rink, with ice events held September through March and dry floor events April through August. Home to the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Softball Championships for 54 years, the 100-acre Harlan & Hazel Rogers Sports Complex is an ideal spot for a sports tournament. The complex features 11 diamonds of different sizes for baseball and softball, six of which have Musco Lightning, along with 13 soccer fields that can be utilized for other sports like lacrosse. In addition to tournament-ready fields and diamonds, there are three batting cages, four concession stands and plenty of on-site parking.

Lakeside Municipal Golf Course is a beautifully manicured 18-hole course that includes a long and straight front nine and a short and narrow back nine. Along with the course, the site features a putting range, a driving range, a club house with a pro shop, concessions and more, making it a surefire win for tournaments and events like the Iowa State Championships. Lakeside is also a perfect spot for cross country with multiple distance routes.

Traverse ten miles on the hand-cut, single-track Lizard Creek Mountain Bike Trails, situated along the Des Moines River Valley. This trail system has three different sections, with each offering differing skill levels a chance to ride through the Fort Dodge, Iowa wilderness. Beginners to pro mountain bikers can choose from Lower, Middle or Upper Lizard or the recently made Phinney Loop.

Located on the Iowa Central Community College campus, Decker Auditorium is a newly renovated theater with 1,089 brand-new seats, 622 of which are on the main floor and all ADA accessible. Additionally, the facility is adjoined by an 11-acre slough, perfect for fishing.

This impressive 41-acre, $3.8 million soccer facility features eight full-size soccer fields. Two of the eight fields are internationally sized, lighted and contain amended soils. The complex is fully equipped, including concessions, a media center, restroom facility and a parking area. The complex has been recognized by the National Turf Grass Managers Association as a Best Soccer Facility.

Golfers of all ages will love this picturesque 18-hole facility located on the north side of Muscatine, offering a complete pro shop, concession area, cart rental and driving range. Hit your golf ball over the water on No. 13 or test your leg strength on a Par 5 on the nine-hole Foot Golf course, which is a combination of soccer and golf. In the winter, play a round on the golf simulator and make sure your game is ready for summer. The facility also offers private and group golf lessons.

Charles City Whitewater holds the distinction of being Iowa’s first-ever whitewater park. Tuma Sports Complex features 22 full-sized soccer fields that can be customized for soccer, rugby and a multitude of other sports. ImOn Ice Arena features two sheets of ice: an NHL arena with seating for 3,800 and an Olympic rink with seating for 200. The facility includes eight team locker rooms, two officials’ locker rooms, a press box and parking for 200 vehicles with an extra lot nearby for an additional 1,200 vehicles for big events. Home to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders USHL Junior Hockey team, the arena is ideal for hosting on-ice tournaments and events. However, the ice can also be removed, opening it up to an endless number of possibilities like wrestling and roller sports.

TBK Bank Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment complex. Outdoor facilities include two lighted turf soccer fields, 10 lighted turf baseball/softball fields and five sand volleyball courts along with concessions. The indoor facilities feature two turf multipurpose fields, eight regulation-size basketball courts, four sand volleyball courts along with a team training area, a fitness center, batting cages and a sports bar and restaurant. There is also a two-story entertainment center with arcade, 32 lanes of bowling, laser tag and more. Just across the street, Iron Tee Golf includes 58 bays of high-tech driving ranges with ball tracking and fun challenges perfect for any group.

Located in Davenport, Iowa, Modern Woodmen Park sits right on the banks of the Mississippi River. Home to the Quad Cities River Bandits, a High-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, the stadium has also hosted many collegiate and high school tournaments and events. Featuring 4,000 permanent seats and 2,000 additional seats on the grass and in the picnic area, there is also versatile meeting and event space with spectacular views. Families can also enjoy a variety of amusement rides at the park.

The RiverCenter is a 100,000-square-foot multi-use convention center that is conveniently connected to two of downtown Davenport’s finest hotels. It has a 32,400-square-foot hall with concrete floors and no columns, making it a perfect room to host any dance or cheer competition, table tennis tournament and more. In addition, there is a 13,130-square-foot column-free carpeted hall perfect for billiards tournaments. The RiverCenter also has 1,200 parking spaces, 10 breakout rooms and in-house catering.

This 31,000-square-foot arena in downtown Moline features bowl seating for 12,000, with a regulation-size court, full-size hockey rink, luxury suites, automatic video scoreboards with replay capabilities and PA system. Vibrant Arena is home to the SPHL’s Quad City Storm, IFL’s Quad City Steamwheelers and Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Championship. It offers ample parking, four locker rooms, six production room offices and a conference center, along with over 12,000 square feet of meeting room space.

St. Ambrose University features an 80,000-square-foot Wellness Center with a 56,000-square-foot fieldhouse. Sports events have use of a 200-meter, six-lane track, pole vault areas, long and triple jump pits and four multi-sport courts. Lee Lohman Arena has a college-size basketball court with seating for 2,000. St. Vincent Athletic Campus features a full-size field for football, soccer and lacrosse, as well as two synthetic turf all-purpose fields with spectator seating, press box, and concessions.

Home to the John Deere Classic on the PGA TOUR, NAIA Golf Championship and more, the 18-hole TPC Deere Run is a beautiful 7,258-yard, Par-71 course that features a full practice green, 14,000-square-foot clubhouse, elegant dining, a top 100-rated pro shop, locker rooms and 160 parking spaces. The course was built on the site of a former Arabian horse farm that masterfully preserves the natural, rolling landscape along the Rock River. The championship golf course is beautifully framed by oak trees and accented by small ponds and deep ravines. TPC also features a short game area and full-service driving range.

Bend XPO’s 100,000-square-foot footprint features multiple indoor spaces, outdoor space, large restrooms and concession stands. With its flexibility, you can shape the space to fit anything you may want or need. Since opening in mid-2021, Bend XPO has hosted cornhole, taekwondo, dance and multiple other sports competitions. The entire Bend Campus includes 132 acres along the Mississippi River. Included are The Rust Belt Concert Venue; The Bend Event Center; River Bend Park/outdoor green space; Hyatt Place | Hyatt Quad Cities; restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

Anne Greve Lund Natatorium is a 52,000-square-foot facility with a 10-lane, 25 yard, 7-foot depth competition pool with capacity for 250 spectators. Tim Dodge Mezzanine/Carver Wrestling Arena has 5,400 square feet of mat space for more than 330 spectators. Austin E. Knowlton Outdoor Athletic Complex has a nine-lane track that is a full-pour, polyurethane Tartan surface made of the same materials used at the U.S. Olympic Training site in San Diego. Along with capacity for 1,800, it features a three-story grandstand with a locker room, training facilities, and meeting rooms.
